TSB is providing an update about its investigation into the October 27, 2011 air accident in Richmond, British Columbia
Gatineau, Quebec, February 9, 2012 - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is releasing an investigation progress update about its investigation (A11P0149) into the October 27, 2011 air accident in Richmond, British Columbia. The investigation team continues its work, which is in Phase 2 of its 3-phase investigation. While continuing to accumulate the information it needs, the team has now begun the work of analyzing the considerable amount of data in order to determine what happened, why it happened, and what can be learned to help ensure it does not happen again.
The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
