Investigation report: April 2020 release of crude oil from a pipeline in Herschel, Saskatchewan

Gatineau, Quebec, 3 February 2021 — Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (P20H0017) into the 30 April 2020 release of crude oil from a pipeline at Enbridge Pipelines Inc. in Herschel, Saskatchewan.

The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
