Awards and recognition

Transportation Safety Board awards

The hours are long enough as it is, but some of us put in a few more than others. They're the ones who go the extra mile to make sure everything is exactly as it needs to be, or even better. They're the ones who always make the deadline, or even beat it. They're the ones you want on your team—and the ones we're glad are on ours. To the doers, the helpers, and the leaders who inspire us with their passion and their effort, this is our chance to say thank you.

Each year, the TSB honours the hard work and accomplishments of our outstanding employees during National Public Service Week. These recipients have not only gone out of their way to help colleagues, but also provided invaluable leadership on critical TSB projects.

Public Service Awards of Excellence

These prestigious awards recognize some of the many federal public service employees who have demonstrated excellence, professionalism and leadership in serving Canadians.

The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

At a moving ceremony at the TSB Engineering Laboratory on 11 February 2013, three TSB employees were awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. The recipients of the medal, which honours significant contributions and achievements by Canadians, were nominated by their colleagues and selected by the members of the Board.
