Investigation report: January 2020 main track train derailment in Kitwanga, British Columbia

Richmond, British Columbia, 4 November 2020 — Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (R20V0005) into the 7 January 2020 main track train derailment of a Canadian National train in Kitwanga, British Columbia.

The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
