Investigation report: February 2021 main track train derailment in Goderich, Ontario
Richmond Hill, Ontario, 15 July 2021 — Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (R21T0007) into the 1 February 2021 main track derailment of a Goderich-Exeter Railway assignment train in Goderich, Ontario that resulted in the derailment of six cars.
The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
